- About Elizalde Mathematics Competition
Together, We Solve.
The Elizalde Mathematics Competition (EMC) is an International math contest dedicated to engaging students in the beauty and power of mathematics.
Founded on the principles of academic excellence and inclusivity, EMC is designed to spark curiosity, challenge young minds, and cultivate a lifelong interest in mathematics across diverse student communities.
More than just a competition, EMC serves as a developmental platform that encourages participants to think critically, solve problems creatively, and apply logical reasoning to real-world scenarios. Through a series of thoughtfully curated rounds, students are exposed to stimulating mathematical challenges that deepen their understanding and stretch their intellectual capabilities.
Whether students are just beginning their mathematical journey or already excelling at advanced levels, EMC offers an enriching experience that promotes growth, resilience, and innovation. By participating, students not only gain recognition on a global stage but also join a vibrant community of aspiring mathematicians who are passionate about learning and discovery.
Join thousands of students across the globe. Compete. Learn. Excel.
- Math Projects (Team Challenges)

Stages of EMC
The conference serves as a preparatory stage for EMC participants. It is designed to equip students with the skills, confidence, and strategies needed to excel in the competition. During the conference, students will have the opportunity to:
1. Engage in interactive sessions focused on problem-solving, logical reasoning, and real-life mathematical applications.
2. Receive feedback and guidance from mentors and facilitators to help identify areas of strength and improvement.
The math project is an activity where participants apply mathematical concepts to solve real-world problems, create models, or explore patterns creatively. It can be hands-on, digital, or research-based.
The written questions are designed for paper-based tests and focus on theoretical concepts, real-life applications, logical reasoning, word problems, algebra, geometry, and arithmetic, etc. This stage marks the conclusion of the National Round, and qualifiers will advance to the Global Finals.
Qualifiers from all participating countries will advance to the Global Finals, where they will compete alongside other top performers from around the world.
Participants will have the option to attend and take part in the finals either virtually or physically, depending on their location and preference. This stage brings together the brightest minds globally to showcase their skills, collaborate, and celebrate mathematical excellence.
